50 Cent on Impact of Twitter, Recent Beefs & Soulja Boy
Here's a clip of 50 in a recent interview discussing details about his upcoming project and the recent beef between Soulja Boy and Fabolous on Twitter.
Industry Rappers Continue To Beef Through Twitter
Let the shit-talk through social media begin! Actually, it's all been going on for some time now. "Twitter-Beef", as the phrase has been coined, is popping up more often on blogs and other hip hop media outlets. Take for example the newly publicized "Twitter-beef" between young rap artist Soulja Boy and veteran rap recording artist Fabolous. No doubt, this all has to do with that hoe Kat Stacks! (LOL)
Despite what started the feud, it seems the more industry rappers who become involved in their own social networks usually end up in some type of conflict through a misunderstanding or just flat out saying something to catch media attention.

Rap Mogul 50 Cent & Celebrity Blogger Perez Hilton Beef On Twitter
You'd think after Perez Hilton got knocked in the eye socket with a shot from Will.I.Am's bodyguard, he'd lay low for a while. And he did. But now dude is caught up in a "beef" with rap music business mogul 50 Cent, who knows how to stay relevant.Apparently 50 saw that Perez tweeted something about him being a "douche bag" and the two continued to tweet punchlines at one another through the social media platform Twitter.
Now, this may seem like non-sense and not necessarily "newsworthy", right? Wrong. Any publicity is still publicity regardless. Plus, you could learn a thing or two from how artists use these "publicity stunts" to keep themselves in the eye of the media and thus the fans. Smart marketing from one of the best if you ask me, only he should focus just as much on his music as well.

Hip Hop Producer D.Shuts Making Beats With Eyekhon Entertainment
Drew Schoettler (a.k.a. D.Shuts) has been making hip hop beats for about seven years now, using programs ranging from Logic Studio to Ableton Live and Propellerhead Reason. His beats are usually made around the artists preference, yet this producer has a creative tendency to experiment as well, varying in Pop, Hip-Hop, Rap, and R&B styles. Recently, D.Shuts decided to pursue his dream in music by attending the LA Recording School in October of 2010 to study recording arts, certifying him as a recording engineer. D.Shuts also plans to move and live in L.A. permanently.
Music is the life for D.Shuts, taking over all other things as top priority. The music he creates takes lots of time and effort to produce. Mixing down each of the instrumentals to give them that album quality sound, and equalizing the track to provide the perfect balance of all instruments, acoustic or digital.
If the beats on his website, http://www.reverbnation.com/dshuts, are not what your looking for, then email him at shuts5175@hotmail.com to inquire about producing a different style or sound that would be suitable for your music needs. D.Shuts works with anyone and everyone and will do all he can to provide his artists with the perfect sound.

Charades of Chris Brown Continue, R&B Artist Leaves Twitter Followers Hanging

Chris Brown has 172,000+ followers on Twitter. Scratch that, the R&B singer had 172,000 followers, until he ditched them after another one of his rants. Chris Brown posted a tirade of tweets whining about being "black balled" by the big chain Wal-Mart, who Brown accuses of not-carrying his new album on store shelves for the holiday season.
Really, these problems should be addressed behind closed doors between suits and corporate robots. However, the combination of social technology these days mixed with celebrity youth is a recipe for these types of indiscretions. Chris Brown, clearly emotional, if perhaps was older and more experienced would not have caused such a rant in front of his followers.
This type of fore sight can help keep you out of these type of "foot in mouth, head up ass" situations one can get caught in as an artist in the music industry. A stunt to promote, or draw attention, can be very effective as a music marketing strategy for your brand and/or product. However, it can also back fire.
Almost like inviting a "lucky music fan" on stage for a little tango, when she could crush you ! Ha ha, this picture gets me every time. Look at dude's face on the left, with the orange hair, hilarious.
