New Joint: "Connecticut" - Franc Grams (Prod. by Apathy)

Connecticut's own Franc Grams & Apathy team up to bring forth what appears to be a new anthem for Connecticut. Apathy tosses up the perfect alley oop by providing a very old school, soulful, classic hip hop feel on the production, and Franc does justice by lyrically painting a very descriptive visual of the home state, shouting out specific towns, clubs, events, the radio station, basketball team, and even wrapping up the record with a long list of individual shout outs to some of the states residents.

New Video: "Raiders Cap" by Demigodz

Man this video makes me feel a little inadequate. I don't have a Raiders cap. The Demigodz make them seem so fun to have too. So much that they made a song dedicated to them. And guess what. Their song about a Raiders cap is better than most of the mainstream crap broadcasted to us through media. Weird eh? Demigodz dropped a new visual today for this track from their recently released album, "KILLmatic". The Apathy produced beat has a classic hip-hop vibe to it that instantly makes you wanna wear a Raiders cap. Lmao, enjoy the video!

New Video: "Dead in the Middle" by Demigodz

According to a YouTube comment from Apathy, this track was recorded in 2008. But it's new to me, and it's pretty sick. This is the 2nd release from "KILLmatic" that I've heard so far, and they killed it. The beat was sick as well and included a classic Big Pun line to serve as the chorus. I personally thought Celph Titled stood out in this one with his witty punchlines. But yea, check it.

New Video: "Demigodz Is Back" by Demigodz

The Demigodz is back! The three emcees Apathy, Celph Titled and Ryu each spit a sick verse over a beat produced with samples from the Rocky theme song. I've only really heard Ryu's work with Fort Minor, and I only know of Celph Titled and Apathy from their work with AOTP. So it's cool hearing the talented trio collaborate. Check it.

Apathy Drops New Album Cut "Stop What Ya Doin" featuring Celph Titled (Produced by DJ Premier)

Apathy is preparing to take his career to another level with the release of his third-solo LP, Honkey Kong, which will be released on 8-23-2011.

The Connecticut emcee and The Get Busy Committee (Apathy, Scoop Deville and Ryu released Uzi Does It in October 2010) and AOTP member has undeniably crafted his best project to date and it includes production from Apathy, DJ Premier, DJ Muggs, Statik Selektah, Evidence, Da Beatminerz and Teddy Roxpin among others. Guest appearances on Honkey Kong include Xzibit, Slaine, Vinnie Paz, Esoteric, Ill Bill, Celph Titled, Action Bronson, General Steele (Smif N Wessun) and Mad Lion.

Apathy quote:
"When I started to make “Honkey Kong” I knew I wanted to make a hardcore, classic hip-hop album. I grew up listening to Gang Starr, Wu-Tang, EPMD... and so on. So when this album started coming together and I started working with dudes who I grew up studying and idolizing; like Preem, Muggs, Beatminerz, Steele, Mad Lion that made all the bullshit of the industry worth it to me. Working with DJ Premier, is personally the most important point in my career. He’s my favorite producer of all time--hands down. Everyone who contributed to this album killed it and definitely brought their "A" game."

DJ Premier quote:
"Apathy is the FIRST artist that I allowed to mix down a record that I produced... EVER!!! Shouts to my engineer Eddie Sancho who influenced him."
