RUGGED SOULZ - GOLDEN AGE by Rugged Soulz

The Maryland based hip hop duo Rugged Soulz are back with another energetic record entitled "Golden Age". This time around, the group connects with Japanese Beatsmith @CallMeKut who lays down the template with a hard hitting percussion driven track. "Golden Age" is the 2nd single to be released from the upcoming mixtape 'The Fast & Delirious Tokyo Spliff' , which is set to debut in mid October.

Rugged Soulz Release New Music Video "Str8 Outta Moco"

"Str8 Outta Moco" is the first release, amongst a string of singles and videos scheduled to promote Maryland's own Hip Hop Duo, Rugged Soulz' upcoming project - The Fast & Delirious Tokyo Spliff.

The Fast & Delirious Tokyo Spliff is the 3rd project from Rugged Soulz and it is produced entirely by Japanese producer Kut. It is an uptempo percussion driven project that stems from the collaborative creative efforts of both Rugged Soulz members; Mic Lungz and Ra, and the project's producer Kut. The Fast & Delirious Tokyo Spliff is set to drop on September 20, 2011.

December, 2010 (MoCo, Maryland) The Maryland bred MC'S are back with another up tempo high energy single titled MUG SHOT. Produced by Japanese beat-smith Kut, the duo and producer synergize a track that connects the worlds of Tokyo to The United States. This is the 1st single off of Rugged Soulz new mixtape The Fast & Delirious – Tokyo Spliff that will be dropping in January.

About Rugged Soulz:
Two entities comprised of different paths and varied voices set the stage for Rugged Soulz with their essence found in the discovered street yet classic element of hip-hop, attributing much of their style to the genre in its hay day. Pulling from the likes of Pharcyde, Talib Kweli and The Roots, the combination of Mic Lungz's driven intelligence and Ra's paradoxical renaissance manner has drawn the attention of their peers, gaining support for their musical journey.

After dropping their debut album, The Grand Opening in 2009, the group pursued the high road with aligning themselves with top producers in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area such as Oddisee, JUDAH, J-Scrilla (Inner Loop Records) and Choppy-Chop E to focus their sound for their upcoming releases.

Putting DJ YKCOR (Fleet Dj's, Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes) at the front of the push allows Rugged Soulz to maintain visibility in front of a host of dj coalitions around the country while infusing the melodies of live instruments, old school samples and dj scratches to complete the presentation.
