New Video: DJ Zone Featuring Roscoe, J Wells & Sky - "Take A Ride" From DJ Zone “Rhythm & Passion” LP

By way of Italy, DJ Zone made his way into the world of Hip-Hop in 1995. He quickly learned the value of crafting melodies and creating commercially viable music, developing an affinity for the westcoast sound of that period. In 1997 DJ Zone began to DJ in clubs and parties in Italy creating a name for himself before forming the rap trio Outside with two local emcees.

Outside released there first album throughout Italy in 2000 and toured throughout Europe for the next two years. In 2005 the group broke up and DJ Zone returned to tour a a guest DJ across the continent. Through his networking at clubs and social media sites he caught the attention of Warren G’s former G Funk Records artist Foesum.

Through his relationship with Foesum, Zone linked up with many other west coast artists, eventually landing his first American placement on Bo Rocc of The Dove Shack’s “My Music, My Soul” LP.

In 2007 DJ Zone completed his first solo album “Tha G-Funk In Me”, which featured many West Coast pioneers such as Daz Dillinger, Kokane, Bad Azz, Shade Sheist, The Twinz, Foesum and more.

Following the success of “Tha G-Funk In Me” Zone continued a working relationship with Kokane and in 2009 Kokane introduced DJ Zone to West Coast Hip-Hop producer J. Wells.

Earlier this year J. Wells signed Zone to his Bonzi Records imprint and has been working with Zone to complete his second album “Rhythm & Passion” which is set to feature WC, Kokane, Roscoe, Julio G, Goldie Loc, Soopafly and more. The album will also be mixed and Executive Produced by J Wells and is slated to be released on 7-26-2011.
