RTiculate Live At The Joint Presented By Street Hop Radio, Pics of the event
On Saturday April 17th I had the pleasure of performing with collaborators and a bunch of local heads in front of a large crowd of fans and friends. Live at "The Joint" was a good show, hosted by 100.3 FM Street Hop Radio's Dj Carmelo and Dj Reddroc.
As an indie rap artist, I got to open up with a few solo tracks followed by songs with my boys Devilz Speciez and Skriblez. We were followed by O.L.O.S. who brought that ill reggae flavor. Truth Among The Darkness and Exponent3 also hit the stage and brought some unique style to the show.

MBSolutions.com Asks The Best Music Promotion Tip You've Ever Heard
The other day I got this interesting newsletter from Peter Spellman's Music Business Solutions.
"I have a question for you: What is the best music promotion tip you've ever heard?"This got me thinking about an e-mail conversation I had with a younger indie rap artist. I shared with him a lesson that I find to be one of the most important when it comes to promoting your music.
"The key is to make yourself/your music be perceived as adding value to the person you're dealing with."Author Peter Spellman's 'Music Biz Insight' is on it's way from newsletter issue to blog format, which should be happening sometime soon. This newsletter is always filled with useful tidbits for the artist-entrepreneur pursuing a career in the rap music business.
Also, check out this new essay written by Peter Spellman, entitled "Musician 2.0, 3.0, 4.0...Developing Music Careers in Uncertain Times".
So what is the best music promotion tip you've ever heard? Share you tip with the blog and our readers and you could be featured in a new post!

Bartoven To Release Third Installment of Mixtape Series; Amen Ra III (April 15th)
Here is an exclusive sneak peak, UK rap artist/hip hop producer Bartoven's newest single "Save My Soul". This track is on the upcoming mixtape Amen Ra III, which will officially be released on April 15th.
Producing the beat himself makes it easy for Bartoven to jump right in. With introspective lyrics that flow aggressively through the verses, this unique track also features Bartoven's more melodic abilities on the chorus.
Y'all feeling this joint or what? As usual, leave some feedback that this artist can come back to read and use constructively for future projects.

Hate him or love him? One thing about Chris Brown though is he is yet to give up and you have to admire that. (Keep your head up kid, this too shall pass!). Here is a Chris Breezy/Juelz Santana track I've been hearing a lot on the Galaxie TV radio lately when I'm working on the laptop. See Breezy, they still be playing you up here in Canada!
