New Joint: "Breakthrough" - Luck-One

July 12, 2011- Portland, OR: Less than six months after releasing his hotly anticipated debut full length “True Theory” to critical acclaim, North West favorite Luck-One returns with a brand new mixtape and proclaims himself king.

Well aware of the nearly two year lull between his initial offering Beautiful Music with producer Dekk, and True Theory, Luck-One returned to the studio in mid June and completed nearly the entire project in just under two weeks.

Set to release as a free download August 30th, Luck-One gives us a taste of what’s to come with the first leak entitled "Breakthrough". On this track, the rapper most known for his aggressive lyrical barbs takes a step back to give us some introspection and examine his place in the industry wherein he struggles to make his mark.

Luck-One Releases New Video “Sounds Of My City”

Just in time for the summer, Luck-One steps up to the plate with a video for the inner-city anthem “Sounds of My City”. A standout track from his debut full length release, True Theory, SOMC’s summery feel and content are matched with bright visuals from the city scape of his hometown Portland, Oregon, and are contrasted by the difficult struggle faced by Luck-One in releasing his newest album, despite being homeless at the time.

In the new video, Luck chronicles the real life story of living in his car, while guiding the viewer on a trip through the city of Portland. Always one to incorporate story lines into his highly conceptual music, Luck-One doesn’t disappoint with this latest offering.
