Music Video: "Aw Yeah? (Intervention)" by Tech N9ne

Tech N9ne just dropped a video for his first single from "Special Effects". I fell in love with this track the day it was released. It's sick hearing Tech involve some political opinions in his lyrics. Sometimes Strange ruins their songs with their videos, but I think this one's pretty dope. Check it,

New Joint: "I'm A G-style" by Komodo

New shit from Kitchener artist, Komodo. This one's gotta raw, straight hip-hop feel to it. It's a 2 minute freeverse over the "I'm A G" by Reef the Lost Cauze instrumental. Seems like something to keep people eager to hear his upcoming project, "The Beast Within" which drops on Halloween. Check it.

New Mixtape: "Faces" - Mac Miller

Download Mixtape | Free Mixtapes Powered by DatPiff.com

Last week Mac Miller released this new mixtape "Faces" which is available for free download via DatPiff. With 24 tracks total, this project almost feels more like an album than a mixtape, imo - shit is dope!

"Faces" features special guest appearances by Sir Michael Rocks, Vince Staples, Earl Sweatshirt, Mike Jones & Rick Ross. That is not a typo, it say's Rick Ross, which is perhaps the weirdest name on the list of collaborators. Either way, this mixtape is definitely worth the download.

New Video: "Hardest Song Ever" - Locksmith feat. Leah Tysse

This shit is hard. Not in some bull shit gangster sense of the word, but because it's got real lyrics that deal with very real issues that some may find hard to understand. Locksmith does it again, provoking thought with yet another raw track.

Here is the official music video for "Hardest Song Ever", which is the first single from Locksmith's newest album "A Thousand Cuts" available now on iTunes. The track features vocals on the hook from Leah Tysse.

"This my personal account of abuse and its effect on my life. If my story can help any other person that is suffering then I am truly grateful." - Locksmith

New Video: Mass Appeal Presents: Rhythm Roulette featuring Black Milk

Check out the latest instalment in this really dope video series presented by Mass Appeal entitled Rhythm Roulette. In this edition, Detroit based beat-smith Black Milk gets behind the boards and puts together a really sick instrumental with a Christmas record.

The premise of this video series involves having a producer head on down to the local record store, then blind fold them and have them randomly select three records from which they will take a sample and turn it into a new beat.

Check out all the other great episodes of the Rhythm Roulette series on Mass Appeal's Youtube page.

New Video: "The Valley" - Rich Kidd

Brought to life by Toronto-based Director RT!, here are the really dope visuals for "The Valley", a banging track from one of Toronto's brightest rising stars, producer/artist Rich Kidd. The track is featured on Rich Kidd's solo LP project "In My Opinion", which dropped last year.

This video is on some crazy, "Eyes Wide Shut" type shit, but with like a horror twist at the end, nah mean? I definitely respect the artist vision that RT! brings to the table with this one.

New Video: "Fast Life" - Asher Roth

That looks like an intimidating box. Sometimes, you've got to step outside of your comfort zone and just hit that "refresh" button on your perspective to figure out whats really important, ya know? Don't get caught up in the fast life.

This is hands down one of my favourite music videos that's been released this year. "Fast Life" is a really uplifting and feel good track, with an inspirational video to match. The track, which features Vic Mensa, is from Asher Roth's new album "RetroHash".

Asher Roth's new album "RetroHash" is available now on iTunes.

New Video: "Smash" - Prince Po & Oh No feat. Pharaoh Monch & O.C.

As one half of seminal hip hop duo Organized Konfusion, Prince Po helped elevate lyricism and shape the art form for years to come. After joining forces with Danger Mouse for his classic solo debut, Po is now back with "Animal Serum", a new album which is entirely produced by West Coast beatsmith Oh No.

Oh No has made a name for himself in recent years with a series of acclaimed solo albums, group work as one half of Gangrene (alongside the iconic Alchemist), plus production work on everything from the latest Mos Def album to the soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto V.

With two innovative artists joining forces for the first time, "Animal Serum" is a differently dark and psychedelic experience that even includes a long-awaited Organized Konfusion reunion track on the Pharoahe Monch assisted single “Smash”.
