Record label counterparts -multiple Juno Nominee Danny Fernandes and Juno Winner Belly - continue to make waves in the Canadian hip hop scene. Both recording artists and label mates have earned multiple nominations at this years Much Music Video Awards show.
R&B sensation Danny Fernandes is nominated for 2 awards including the big one; Video of The Year and Cinematography of The Year. While indie hip hop artist Belly is nominated for 3 awards; MuchVibe Hip-Hop Video of the Year, the MuchFact Indie Video of the Year, and Cinematography of the Year for "Hot Girl" feat. Snoop Dogg.
Both Danny Fernandes and Belly are looking forward to releasing new albums in the near future, each putting out new singles this year.
Danny Fernandes will on MuchMusic's first annual nationwide SodaPOP tour. Belly's upcoming sophomore release, Champagne Dreams Marijuana Thoughts, features some of the music industry's notable hip-hop talent, including the hit single "Hot Girl" featuring Snoop Dogg.
"Intro", the debut album from Danny Fernandes gained the indie R&B artist 7 MMVA nominations, 2 Juno nominations and 2 Gold singles over the last two years. The popular new single "Fantasy" is quickly reaching Platinum status here in Canada.
