New Video: "All These Lights" - The Grouch & Eligh

Now this is a sick music video! The Grouch & Eligh connect with Pretty Lights for this new single & video combo which was released yesterday. "All These Lights" is directed by Sean Michael Williams & Gus Winkelman.

Official Press Release:

Oakland’s The Grouch and Los Angeles’ Eligh, collectively known as the rap duo G&E have hooked up with electronic music sensation Pretty Lights to bring us their brand new single and video, "All These Lights".

The collaboration was honed when the duo met Pretty Lights in his home state of Colorado. “We had a good rapport,” Grouch notes, "Pretty Lights turned out to be a long time fan of ours. We were flattered, he was cool, and we knew we had to work with him."

The official video for "All These Lights" publicly introduces a style of video editing known as lyric-lapsing. Users of Vine may recognize similarities in the look and feel of the video, but G&E explain—"its much more than that, it's a combination of stop motion and time lapsing techniques shot with our lyrics synced up simultaneously. For every second of video we did 24 takes, each take being slightly different from the previous. It's difficult to explain but basically, you have to see it!".

Check out this pretty wicked looking trailer for the brand new single and video by West Coast veterans, The Grouch & Eligh (off Living Legends fame), who teamed up with super-producer, Pretty Lights on a new single entitled "All These Lights".

The single will be accompanied by what looks to be a spectacular music video, which will drop next Tuesday, June 25, 2013 along with the single on iTunes. For now, we have to be content with the cool visuals in this trailer. Keep it locked to F.O.R.M. for the release of the video on Tuesday.

New Video: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Interview with Al Lidstrom

In this exclusive video interview with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Emilio Sparks of AlLidstrom.com, takes us back to when the emcee and producer duo first met through Myspace. The pair also discuss details of how they have created a successful independent music business that encompasses all different forms of media.

This interview also brings up some other important issues, such as equal rights marriage and more importantly, are Macklemore & Ryan Lewis considered hip hop? After all, at the end of the day these two are an emcee and producer duo at the core. They make music that certainly has strong influences from hip hop, even if it does fuse other genres and sounds to create something different. Aren't we supposed to sound different?

What are your thoughts on these two and how their music can be described or what genre it actually falls under? Here at F.O.R.M we would love to hear your opinion, so drop us some comments down below and lets get the discussion started shall we?

New Video: "The Space Migration Sessions" - Mac Miller & The Internet (Directed by Rex Arrow Films)

Mac Miller is about to drop his new album "Watching Movies With The Sound Off" on June 18th, and he's got some heavy competition with Kanye West, Statik Selektah and J. Cole all dropping on the same date as well.

But this is different. And this type of different is dope! Mac Miller is definitely on to something, as his musical collaborations with The Internet, visually documented here in "The Space Migration Sessions" directed by Rex Arrow Films. This is without a doubt some of the sickest new music not only from Mac Miller, but that is being put out right now, period.

Here are two new videos for the tracks "S.D.S." (above) and "Objects In The Mirror" (below). When your music is this different, and it stands out like Mac Miller's collaborations with The Internet, I doubt that Macadellic will have any problems competing on the heavily packed June 18th release date.

New Video: "Against the Current" by Chali 2na ft. Ming-Xia

Man, I can't believe I missed this! Chali 2na is an absolute beast on the mic, and one of the most respectable. As in this song/video, he always manages to bring something fresh to the table. This is some straight-up hip hop. Sick beat, crazy lyricism and a smooth chorus. This song's from the 1st of his series of 5 EPs, entitled "Against the Current". I don't know much about the series, but apparently it's accompanied by a book-of-art. With all of the artwork done by the 2na himself, the book depicts the evolution of his career through oil painting. True art over here folks! I'm gonna be looking forward to coppin' it all. But for now, imma just have to hammer this track into my head. Check it.

New Video: "My Hippy" - Mod Sun

Here's something a little different. This Minnesota-based hip hop artist goes by the moniker Mod Sun, and last fall he released his "Happy As Fuck" EP, which debuted at #8 on the iTunes hip hop charts.

In 2013, Mod Sun is setting him self up for some serious buzz with a new project on the way and an upcoming tour to coincide with it's release. The first single from the un-named project is entitled "My Hippy" produced by Dave Cappa.

The concept for the video was created by Mod Sun along with Talkboy TV. The video was directed by Mikey Easterling, who executed the vision for the concept really well in my opinion.

Roane Namuh looks like an Amish farmer who somehow got a copy of an NWA and/or Digable Planets cassette and it changed his life. He is the producer/sex panther.
