Meet Dillon Cooper, who is already garnering a huge buzz and accolades before he has even released a proper single. Check out his recently write up on Vibe.com's “New Artist Alert”. At the age of 17, Brooklyn product Dillon Cooper moved to Boston to attend the Berklee College of Music via a Jay-Z scholarship.
Dillon Cooper was first inspired to rap by his best friend, Brian “Cozmik” Scott, a then up and coming professional roller-blader who was tragically and innocently gunned down while sitting in a local Brooklyn coffee shop. Cozmik’s murder was featured on an episode of America’s Most Wanted and profiled on HuffingtonPost.
In addition to emceeing, Dillon Cooper sings, plays acoustic guitar, piano, produces music and professionally rollerblades. He is set to release his official debut mixtape in his friends honor entitled “Cozmik” through Amalgam Digital.
The first buzz video from the upcoming “Cozmik” mixtape is entitled “Survival Of The Fittest” and has already been featured on more socially esteemed outlets such as 2dopeboyz, Vibe.com, thesource.com and Youheardthatnew.com.
