Gods'illa won MTV’s VMA Best Breakout DC Competition in 2009 before releasing their 'Pre-Lease' EP. "You Don't Have To Be A Star" appears on the 'CPR BlendTape' hosted by Lo Down Loretta Brown a.k.a. Erykah Badu, which also features Sean Price, Laelo Hood, Ra The MC, Pro'verb and more.
