Sonicbids and Virgin Mobile USA now present a new opportunity for a talented artist to perform an opening set, with travel expenses paid. The "Book the Band" contest is being held to feature one opening act at the Virgin Mobile FreeFest in Maryland, which takes place on September 25th at the Merriweather Post Pavilion.
The "Book the Band" contest winner will receive $5,000 in travel expenses, plus thousands of dollars worth of fresh gear to rock. Headlining artists at the festival include; T.I. and Ludacris, M.I.A., LCD Soundsystem, Pavement, as well as many others.
