Tech N9ne just dropped a video for his first single from "Special Effects". I fell in love with this track the day it was released. It's sick hearing Tech involve some political opinions in his lyrics. Sometimes Strange ruins their songs with their videos, but I think this one's pretty dope. Check it,

New Music Video: "Seven Chakras" by CES Cru

I'm a lil disappointed in how this video turned out, but that's because this is one of my favourites from "Constant Energy Struggles". I felt like a video for this song coulda used a theme or an idea. Maybe there is one and I just can't figure it out, who knows. I think the lighting of the colours they used were all associated with the seven chakras, but I coulda thought of that. Lol maybe I'm hatin' cuz my expectations, as a fan, were too high. Dope song regardless. Check it.

New Joint: "Fragile" by Tech N9ne ft. Kendrick Lamar, MAYDAY & Kendall Morgan



Once again, Tech N9ne was unable to keep this gem from being heard and released it a few days early. I'm so surprised with the sound of this song. It's got that bluesy iMAYDAY! vibe, and everybody on this track brought their a-game. I don't know who Kendall Morgan is, but her voice is beautiful. It fits in with Wrekonize's melodic part, and equally well with the beat. Both Tech and Kendrick had some insane delivery in their verses. This song's crazy.

New Video: "Switch Lanes" by Rittz ft. Mike Posner

This was one of the first tracks released from "The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant". It's a good track to use for a single that'll appeal to radio listeners. It's got a smooth vibe that could totally be played on the air, and on top of that, Rittz kills his lyrics. Mike Posner did his thing as well and sets the mood for the chorus with his soft toned voice. Here's the visual for the song, which is actually a good video compared to a few that Rittz has released lately. Check it.

New Joint: "Say No More" by Rittz ft. Krizz Kaliko & Tech N9ne

Rittz' new album, "The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant" is absolutely nuts. It's crazy. Ever since it was released on April 30th, I haven't switched the cd outta my car. It's such a great album when it comes to beat selection, guitar solos, turntablism, lyrics, flow, choruses, everything. Probably the most complete album I've heard in 2013 so far. This track right here features the two main Strange Music frontmen, Krizz Kaliko and Tech N9ne. They all have dope verses, the chorus is tight, and like I mentioned earlier, the scratching and guitar solo sound tight. Check this shit out. Ye-uh-yeeeuh!

New Joint: "Wastin' Time" by Rittz ft. Big K.R.I.T.

Ever since the day this album was released I've wanted to share pretty much every song from the tracklist. However, the only way to do that was to share a link that would eventually get removed from YouTube due to copyright purposes. So thanks to Strange Music, I'm finally able to share a song that won't get removed later on. This track right here is a collab between two very distinctive southern artists who make a great duo. Both Rittz and Big K.R.I.T. had sick verses over top of this mellow down south instrumental. I like the content of this track and all of the elements compiled into it make it a perfect track to smoke a blunt and cruise around to. Yee-uh-yeeeuh!

The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant are slowly being revealed. To hype it up, Rittz dropped a video for his newest release, "Like I Am", off his upcoming album under Strange Music. The beat to this song is so sick. It's got that grimy down south feel that makes you wanna get a coat of candy paint on the whip. The videos sick, but it's a little random with the whole front yard scene. The one chick with the tattoos helps make the video a whole lot better too, even though all she did was sit there lol. Anways check this slumerican shit!

New Video: "When Worlds Collide" by CES Cru

Alright. Now I'm really excited for "Constant Energy Struggles". First Lotus, and now this. Ces Cru is making their way up to the top of my favourites. This beat is nuts, and they spazzed over it. This just solidifies the fact, once again, that Strange Music is a mob of elite emcees. The video's also cool. "Constant Energy Struggles" releases on the 26th of March, and can be preordered at StrangeMusicInc.net. It comes in a bundle with a signed copy of the album, a t-shirt, a sticker, and a bonus mp3 track for all the hardcore fans out there!

New Joint: "Juice" - Ces Cru ft. Tech N9ne

 

Maaan. This track is ILL. Such a sick old school hip hop feel. I love the drums and the bassline in this. The combination of 'em both form a beat that give you no other choice but to nod your head. Well, for me at least. But as usual, the 3 elite emcees from the Strange Music label absolutely murder this beat. This track's off Ces Cru's upcoming album, "Constant Energy Struggles", and seems to act as a sign that they aren't fucking around by any means on this album. Check it folks!

New Video: "E.B.A.H." by Tech N9ne

So Tech's upcoming EP, E.B.A.H is right around the corner and he's officially transformed into the Evil Brain Angel Heart persona. It is a new kind of sound from Tech and I could see some not appreciating it. But I'm glad Tech has kept it fresh for so long, trying to bring new sounds and innovations instead of pumping out albums that sound the same. I have a bunch of Tech albums and each one has its own flavour that separates it from the others. Anyways this song bangs hard, the beat is weird but really intense and has some killer drums. And of course Tech brings a lot of sick bars, always switching up the flow like no one else. Check it out!

New Video: "Darker Shades" by Mayday

Shortly after releasing their first album under Strange Music, Mayday announced the release of a new EP. The EP, entitled "Thrift Store Halos", dropped this past Tuesday. To build up some hype, they released a video for one of the 7 songs from the project. As always expected from Mayday, the unique beat has a fuckin' cool vibe to it, and both rappers spit some ill lyrics. And for once, their music video was decent as well. This would be a sick song to start up a night out in the city. Anyways, as Snoop Lion would say... Chizzeck this shizznit!

New Video: "Lando's Jam" - ¡MAYDAY!

Whattup readers? My name's K Brenton, writer @ Eternal Cadence, and from now on I'm going to be helping RTiculate by contributing some of my favourite music to this blog! I figured I'd start it off by sharing this video. ¡MAYDAY! recently joined independent mastermind, Tech N9ne, under his Strange Music label. Their first album under this label, "Take Me To Your Leader" was released last Monday. I was lucky enough to buy the only copy of this CD at the HMV in Kitchener, and after listening through it several times, It was definitely worth every dollar spent. This band puts out a unique sound, using mostly live instruments with gritty rock/jazz elements intertwined with hip-hop.
