Q makes a great point about mixtapes. Back in the day, the most iconic rappers, the 2pac's and Biggie's, Nas and Jay-Z's, they never dropped mixtapes. Hell, Nas and Hov still don't really drop mixtapes. It's all about quality music and great albums. What do you think?

The first album I copped was Statik Selektah's "Extended Play", followed by Mac Miller & J.Cole respectively. Honestly, I have no regrets because all three albums are incredible hip hop records.

Papoose stopped by Shade 45 to spit a freestyle on the radio show, Sway in the Morning. DJ Wonder dropped 5 random beats, and Papoose laid a sick verse over each one of them. My favourite part is around 2:10 in the video, when the beat speeds up in tempo. This dude's really talented and should get more credit for what he does. Check it.

Eminem Names MTV's Sway Calloway As Host of New Morning Show on Shade 45

MTV host Sway Calloway has recently been named the new host of the hip hop morning show on XM satellite radio's Shade 45 channel. The new show will be called “Sway in the Morning” and it will air Monday through Friday at 8 AM– 12 PM EST.

Many people may not remember, but Sway used to co-host the "Wake Up Show" out on the West coast with none other then indie rap super star Tech N9ne. "The Wake Up Show" was a premier hip hop show that featured many rap artists unleashing their freestyle skills over the air waves. When Eminem was first being discovered, he was a guest on Sway & Tech's "The Wake Up Show".
